The company secures the electric current for the important establishments by contracting with another feeding line through Egyptian Electricity Holding Co. to ensure that there is no power cut in the important establishments, given the importance of such establishments and the importance of the continuity of electric current in the event of an interruption of one of them.
The company has implemented these works in many important establishments such as the branch of Housing and Development Bank in Zakr Hussein St, Abbassyya, Zamalek and Manasterly, etc.
Each establishment and bank of the aforementioned branches works on one of the two feeding lines as a main source of feeding. The other line works as a secondary source in the event of an interruption of the first source of feeding. There is also an electric generating unit in the establishment that is a substitution in case of the interruption of two sources of feeding. In this case, the electric generating unit feeds the emergency network, which in turn feeds the UPS and the important loads of the branch until the electricity is back.
Therefore, there is “one out of three” system to control and organize between the two feeding lines as two main general sources and the electric generation unit as an emergency alternative source. This system consists of two ATS panels; one of them works as a main source of feeding for the establishment and it makes manual and automatic selection between the two sources of supply directly connected to it, to be connected directly to the main feeding board of the establishment. The other panel works as a source of feeding for emergency loads through manual or automatic selection between the main source feeding the branch coming from the main board of the establishment (whose supply comes through the two lines coming from ATS panel) and the power of the electric generating unit.
Therefore, the company has:
- Coordinated with Electricity Company and the Neighborhood as the establishment authorizes our company to deal with Egyptian Electricity Holding Co. in administrative and technical matters regarding excavation and connection works to the establishment from the main electricity kiosk of the two sources of feeding.
- The length of the two cables and the appropriate section area for the establishment loads are calculated in order to connect from the electricity kiosk of the two sources of feeding to ATS panel of the two lines.
- The two cables of the two sources of feeding are connected and extended from the main electricity kiosk to ATS panel of the two lines of the establishment.
- ATS panel with two lines is designed and installed, as the two main sources of feeding work as entrances to the panel through two separate cables, while the main cable feeding the main panel of the establishment comes out of the panel.
- The panel is designed in accordance with the required standard specifications. The highest standards of control, protection and standard quality are applied, and all required tests are conducted and have been officially approved. The panel is designed to operate manually or automatically to select one of the two feeding lines to be a main line for the establishment. The panel includes all possible protection systems such as protection systems for high or low voltage as well as unbalanced loads, reverse sequence of phases, earth protection (Earth) and etc.
- As for ATS panel for emergency, its input consists of two cables; one of them is a main electric current source connected from the main panel of the branch. The other cable is for the electric generating unit that serves as a secondary source. One cable comes out of the panel to feed the main emergency panel.
- The two ATS panels have been integrated to serve as one out of three sources system, while each of them separately serves as one out of two sources system. The settings of each panel have been adjusted in terms of time and otherwise. The electric generating unit is programmed to operate when the two feeding sources are interrupted. A period of time is made as a delay period for further confirmation of the interruption of the two feeding sources, so the electric generating unit will then operate and feed the emergency loads.
- It is guaranteed that the establishment will not be disabled and operated before completing the coordination and administrative works and approvals through the electricity practice system and temporary feeding cable. This has been carried out in cooperation with Egyptian Electricity Holding Co.
- Upon completion of the coordination and administrative works, the project has been implemented in a record time in unofficial working hours and leaves to guarantee that the work is not interrupted in the establishment.
